Whats a good motherboard that can handle a 9850 phenom?

I have been reading the AMD 770-790 chipsets and all of them claim to be unable to fully handle a 125tdp phenom. Yet most boards claim to support it so I am confused.

I have around 100 bucks to spend on the board but every board I find and research they all claim it can't handle it yet the site does...adds to my novices confusion.

I was looking at this board.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130173

shows 3 bios updates for 9850...
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=prodcpu2&prod_no=1431&maincat_no=1#menu

Future upgrades would be maybe a 4870 512mb when it drops in price....but next major upgrade will be when DDR3 and 4ghz quad cores are out or a year+. I won the 9850be so its a hell of a upgrade over my 2.3ghz X2 4400+.

Is there a better choice? I don't overclock and the phenom is this one here.

Also the board on newegg says 1066 DDR2 only but on the main site of MSI it says
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=&cat3_no=&prod_no=1431

• Supports Dual DDR2 533/667/800/1066 (1066 for AM2+ only) does the "1066 for AM2+ only" mean you must have 1066 memory to run AM2+ CPU or you can only run that speed if you HAVE a AM2+ CPU?

Sadly I wont have my CPU or MB on Wensday since I finally sold them. So any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Also will the phenom boot up and allow me to update the bios through the live update? I never updated bios since I never had to so I wanna make sure I don't need a fully working PC to update the bios.

As far as the CPU list say supported, than you can assume it have no problem.
This MSI have southbridge with SB600 chipset, why not getting ASUS M3A78 with SB700?
