need assistance with ide drive

Hey alright lads,

i want to put my spare 120Gb Seagate Barracuda IDE hard drive to use for storage.

problem is im not able to just connect it to the IDE cable in my system because i already have 2x DVD/WRs in there running of it (My Sata writer packed up )

Will this cable do the trick and i can use it external?

Im not too bothred about not having any external housing for it,i might make me a little case lol

That will work, but i wouldn't recommend having it externally.......

Have you checked the jumpers on the hard drive??

ive heard having both an ide hard drive on teh same line as a cd will slow things down,anyway i have 2x writers so theyre both used.


whats wrong with using it externaly?
