hi guys i hope you can help me this is my problem my friend had a windows xp home edition ,but somebody told him that the xp professional was better so he installed xp pro and now his computer is all messed up and he want to install the home edition again but he can't find the original cd that came with his pc and also the pc case has the label of genuine windows xp home edition my question is how we can install the home edition since we don't have the cd but we have the 25 keys? any help ,advice will be appreciated...thanks in advance

Borrow a friends OEM version of XP HOME and use it to install XP, BUT use the key that is attached to his computer to activate it. If its a branded computer like Dell, HP, Compaq, etc. then that will work. If its home built and he used the full version to originally install windows then he will need to use a full version install cd. You can get the OEM version of XP for around 90 bucks or cheaper. It just all depends on the version he used to install XP whether it be OEM, Upgrade, or full.
