Need computer help

I got this new stationary computer. Already put toghether. I just had to turn it on. I put in the power cable, and the monitor cable. When i turned it on, nothing happened. The monitor said that there were no signal. I tried with a HDMI, and it did not work either.

Here is the real weird thing: The monitor is usually conected to another computer, i conected it to the new one. Now there is no signal from the other computer either...

help please? :confused:
 
ok, did you connect two different monitors to this computer, or are you saying that you connected the monitor to your old computer and it didn't display?

If its the first one, then your GPU or IPU is not displaying.

If the second, then get another monitor and be sure that the old computer is working. If it is, then we can safely say that your monitor is goosed.
 
Check to make sure the monitor cable is snug to the monitor connection, sometimes they come loose.
