Need drivers for old printer on Win7. Help!

I've got an HP LaserJet 1000 series printer, and Windows 7 pro, and the drivers on the CD aren't compatible. And I cannot go out and buy a new printer, so don't suggest that. Unless that truly is my only option.

So, in short:

Help me get to a download page that has drivers for the LaserJet 1000 printer that are compatible with Win7 pro. Many thanks, kemosabes!
 
I doubt there are any drivers available. You would need to contact HP to ask them if they ever wrote any.

One possibility since you have Win 7 Pro is to download and install XP Mode which is a virtual machine running XP, then you could install the printer drivers there. I'm not sure if you could print from an app installed in Win 7 to the printer installed in the XP VM, you would probably be limited to printing from apps installed on the XP VM.
