I'm looking for a program that will encrypt my files. I want to protect some of my files by putting passwords on them or encrypt them, whichever you want to call it. Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks.
With that, you can rar your files/folders and put a password on the archive so that you need a password to view the files within the archive and to extract them. (If you set the compression level to the lowest you wont have to wait as long to pack the files in.) To encrypt with WinRAR, open the program, go to add, and check the box that says LOCK ARCHIVE. Go to the Advanced tab to set the password. Make sure to check ENCRYPT FILE NAMES. Then, go to the FILES tab to add the files you want to encrypt.
