Need faster PC !

I'm working with multiple large files stacked on top of each other in photoshop ( 6000x6000 ). What upgrades can I make to my computer in order to work smoothly.

The E8400 is ancient.

You're best to upgrade to a whole new system.

The CPU you linked will not fit the motherboard you have.

Yeah i have to ditto that. The CPU is 8 years old.
You need a new system mate.

Yeah, as the others mentioned that CPU is way past EOL, I had one when they were new in winter 2008.

Time for a full-on new PC, no upgrades are worth it at this point.

Thanks guys, any PC you guys would suggest? I'm mainly using it for photoshop and adobe lightroom 95% of the time.
