Hi all never opened a pc ever in my life but told it is easy to build one. Yeah i believe it is if you know how. I dont but want to get a good computer for my sons b day coming up in october. He is 18 leaving college and into video editing in a big way. But has not got a computer of his own. i have the understanding it needs intel i7 big 16 to 32 ram a 1tb memory a graphics card. And i am sure something else is required. Any help or advice that would make it easier to understand how to build put together all that is needed would be great. Its only easy if you know and i dont know. thanks

living in london. budget is about 700 800 pound . what is a good reliable graphics card, is it possible to buy different pieces from places and they all fit together or do i need to check that one is compatable with the other. ok i will get a 2 tb. maybe my budget is too small to do all i want to do

Not sure what prices are in London but 800 pounds (~$1050 USD) is a pretty good budget here in the US. Not all PC components are compatable, but a site such as pcpartpicker.com will tell you what works and what doesn't. I don't do video editing so I'll let somebody else make the list for you.

There is no other option for B450 motherboard right now, wait few weeks for their release.

If you want i7 8700, you will be looking at £900.
You probably will look at i7 8700 + £70 B360 motherboard.
