Basically i got a second hand pc which is xp and it was just the tower i got nothing else no discs no manual or anything. Ive been using it for a couple off weeks but its full off spyware and trojan horses and just needs to be restored to factory settings, but i have no discs not even a xp disc, and i think you can do it by pressed "F8" when you boot up but unfortunately my acer monitor (Model No:AL1603w) shows me a screen showing the intel pentium 4 logo then goes to a screen with just a message saying input not surported then going to the windows logo after a minute of the blank screen at which point its too late to acces the advanced screen, any ideas on a way i can solve this? or another way to restore my computer? thanks for any help.

The video driver doesn't load until after the windows splash screen appears. You need to boot to safe mode so it loads the generic vga driver and then uninstall the video driver software. Then boot to regular mode and you should be able to boot into windows with no problem. Then once you are there, you need to do the following.
