Please help me!

As we can't verify that the keylogger hasn't been put on there for legitimate purposes e.g. a concerned parent or employer, we can't help you, sorry.

Well if you want me to elaborate, the problem started a few hours ago. My friend went onto his World of Warcraft account on my computer, played for a few minutes, then went home. An hour or 2 later, he tried to sign on to his account, and it turned out that his password had been changed, not by him of course. So now he has to contact Blizzard regarding that. I have reason to believe that it may be a Keylogger on my computer, which of course puts all of my passwords in danger, so any help would be greatly appreciated. My original post was brief because I was freaking out at the time, running 5 different virus/spyware scans to try and get this fixed :)

I would like to add, in regards to what you said Buzz, are you saying that there is indeed a keylogger, or that if there was you would not be able to help me anyway?

Isn't that a little hypocritical? When somebody comes in here asking where to get a good free keylogger, you also turn them away. Couldn't that also be a concerned parent or employer wanting to use it for legitimate purposes? So you can neither help anybody looking to get a keylogger nor someone looking to get rid of a keylogger? I find that strange...

What's hypocritical about it? You ask about a keylogger, we can't verify your story, we can't help you...

I dunno, I just find it weird that you wouldn't help somebody get rid of a keylogger because it might be there for legit purposes..I mean, if it is - couldn't the person monitoring the pc just reinstall it or another one? Or wouldn't they have a guest account with limited privileges set up, rather than letting their employees/kids (basically whoever they don't trust) use an administrator account? And if that was the case, then couldn't you somehow verify that the person asking for help is logged in as administrator?

So basically anyone with a keylogger on their system (legit or not) who doesn't know how to get rid of it is screwed, because nobody will help them?

Well, I figured out, it was not my computer with the keylogger. It was my friend's laptop that was infected. This was good for me, but bad for a few of my friends, because they had all played their World of Warcraft accounts on that laptop...all 3 of them had their accounts hacked because of the keylogger :(

OK, now Buzz, I don't know what was your point, but I kinda got a feeling you found a keylogger in his/her post?
Why don't u want to help a victim in need?
