Hi, I currently have a P5KPL-CM ASUSTeK motherboard socket 775 LGA with a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 512 MB and a Intel Pentium E5200 Dual Core, 850 watts powersupply

and

2: I want to upgrade my processor for this : Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 Processor BX80571E7500 - 2.93GHz, 3MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB, Wolfdale-3M, Dual-Core, Retail, Socket 775 w/ Fan.Can be found at this link :

So my question : I want to make sure if my motherboard can support the processor and if this graphic card can also be supported by my motherboard.

Thank you very much !

Everything will work providing you have bios revision 0515 installed in order for it to support the E7500. The video card will work as well. What make and model power supply do you have?

yeah but why going down when I have way enough to support the card, 550 TI only require 400 watts, correct me if im not wrong.I have a SAGITTA raidmax gaming case, way enough space.

You are missing my point. The orion is a generic brand psu, A good 850 watt psu is gonna run your well over $100. The Orion is a very low end power supply, it actually on the do not recommend list here.

You have a high end video card and I wouldn't trust the psu to push it. You'll most likely burn it out and may take out other hardware with it.

Bottom line....replace the psu.

the orion is a generic brand.
This ^ is the reason.
It's not so much about the watts. It's about amps and the quality that's making those amps. Generic/cheaper psu's are cheap for a reason and put the whole system at a higher risk of failure.

john beat me to it.

3 years with this PSU never had any issue, but I will look into it for a new one since I was going to replace almost everything.

well they can randomly and pointlessly fail, i had the oem one in this comp for 1 year or a little more and randomly it wouldn't turn on but the fans were all the way up and it was strange and it ended up that the psu was going, they can and will work fine but then one day bam, everything is destroyed, luckily mine only took the psu not the system, although i woulda enjoyed this pos going so we had to get a new one and since my gdad woulda been paying i coulda built a nice one :D

Well I think it just blew up LOL, I can't get past the starting screen anymore is it possible that because it's broken I can't get past the loading screen ? Everytime I get to the loading screen my PC gets a blue screen and restart, I mean I can still start the computer and I hear the power supply running but It doesn't do any of those weird noise it used to do when I was playing.

FFS I hope it's not the harddrive cuz it's still moving and I can hear it working.
