Hey guys, I am brand new to the forum here, and have some general knowledge about computers, but I need help because I am at the point where I want to take a sledgehammer and destroy the very thing that is posting this thread. Ok I do not know where to start, but I will start off here.

1: my computer (the tower) sounds like a goddamn diesel engine
2: it crashes frequently, freezes and sounds freezes also, starts stuttering.
3: recently my pc gives me a blue screen and says it needs to check for inconsistency in the c drive when I start up pc.
4: I used to get a blue screen with a fatal error msg when my pc crashed. Now it just freezes

I dont have money to fix this, so I'm hoping to do this myself. I've had these symptoms for about 6 months.

Also I am sorry that I do not have enough information.
Mostly because I dont know what to provide.

Just guessing,,but if it sounds like a diesel engine your power supply is probably going bad.
If you don't have a lot of money for a decent power supply,,,you can probably
go by a local used computer store and get one on the cheap.
For that matter I saw one on newegg the other day for $7 bucks after rebates

If the inside is real dusty,,good chance your fans are full of dust too creating a lot of heat.Open the case off and blow it out.

Try those two things first and see what happens.
