Need help building a multi monitor system

Hey guys. Let me be flat honest, I am a tech dummy...seriously.

I currently run a computer with 2 monitors for my daytrading and my kids game on it. I am looking to buy another computer that will be a dedicated trading computer and I will be running at least 3, possibly 4 monitors. I currently have 2-27 inch wides, and I will be switching to either 3-27s or most likely, and most prefered 4- 22-24inch or so.

I have been scouring newegg for about a week but I have no idea what I need to run 4 monitors. I'm not looking to break the bank on a set up, but I would appreciate it if I can get a few build ideas on what I need from newegg preferably.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer. When I say I am a tech dummy, I can type and turn the computer on. I can read a stock chart like a Mofo but computers.....not so much, so dumb it down for me please

Chris

Thanks for the reply. To clarify I have nothing. There are 2 current desktops but they are used by others for various things. I'm looking to start fresh.

My plan is to buy a tower and 4 monitors from Newegg. The problem is I don't know what tower I need to run 4 monitors

This computer will be strictly a trading computer

It's not specifically the tower you need to worry about but what video card it has. I wouldn't go any lower then the gtx 1070 or rx470 but you'll need monitors that support dvi, hdmi and display port.

1 monitor will use dvi
1 monitor will use hdmi
2 monitors will use display port

You'll also need a good 550 watt power supply.

What kind of budget are you talking?

It's not as much about budget as it is what do I need. 700 for a tower would be great, but 1200 would also be great

Perhaps you may benefit with a dual ultrawide monitor configuration?

I have ran with ultra wides in the past and was not a huge fan, however, I guess depending on the size it may be worth looking into. I had 24" ultra wides prior and wasn't too happy

I was told before I'd likely need 2 graphics cards. Under your information here you are saying 1 card would work ?

You need to look into the 34" ultrawides. If you have 2 of them, it's like having 4 regular monitors with half the amount of bezels.

After your last post I did look at them. It's certainly a option I may consider. I could get 2 of the 34s for a similar price as 4 of the 24s

If you live close to a Best Buy or a store that has display models... go look at some 34" ultrawides. You don't have to go all out and grab the 1440p ones, as the 1080p ones are a lot more affordable.

I'll do that this weekend. Thanks for the reply. Definitely a good idea to go see it in person before dropping the cash
