Ok, I have a pretty low budget of max 200, the computer I currently have is pretty bad, 1gb RAM, nvidia 7300LE etc, and I want an upgrade, as much as I can get for the money really. I've seen some on Ebay that I was considering, one I was considering getting but are the specs any good?

I said "gaming" but I'd only really need it to play Second Life better than this computer does. I'm not talking about trying to play new top end intense games.

or is this one better?

200 is not going to get a gaming pc, for that kind of budget even a 2nd hand unit would be pretty basic.

Think your best bet would be ebay, you may get lucky and see a decent machine going cheap.

Yeah I realise that now, I just want to get as much for the money as possible, I really haven't got the funds for anything more unfortunately, this is all I can allocate to a selfish want of mine.. Do you think the specs I posted above your post are acceptable for running a game like Second Life though?

Secondlife is CPU bound. You will need a Phenom II quad at the least and a gt640 graphics card to really deal with the real time rendering of that game. People will say, you dont need that, but take it from me, ive been running the client for 6+ years, you really need to invest in hardware for a good experience, 200 will not cut it.

Honestly, if all you want to play is second life then the second rig you posted will do just fine, there is no need to get high end new components for a game like that.
