Hi, im new to these forums and i have urge to get a better computer. I have a dell atm and its really crappy. I am looking for a desktop within $1,000 - $2,000 price range. Looking to play new games (cod4 etc..), tons of music, and some basic school stuff. I know it is cheaper to build a computer, but i am not a computer wiz or anywhere near it.

Need some suggestions for sites and companies.
Anything else you would like to suggest would be helpful.

Thanx, Kevin

i would like to, but like i said i have little knowledge with computers. Also if i have any problems with the computer i would be screwed.

Okay Go to newegg, Buy a Power supply,A case, some memory, a hard drive,an optical drive,a keyboard,a mouse,a monitor,A motherboard,a graphics card, a CPU, and a fan and thrermal adhesive if the CPU doesn't come with it. Then Go here

Not really, unless you want a prebuilt a waste a couple hundred bucks. Read some of the CF guides provided at the top of this section. It's your call. Prebuilt or custom.

Buy a custom built prebuilt, or buy it and build it? These are the 2 options. The 2nd option is still the money saving and best option.

what is a custom build prebuilt???
sry but im not really good at computers
what do you think of the company vigor or avadirect or ecollegepc?

thanx, kevin

Custom Prebuilt - From a big company built for you with what you want in it

Custom Built - Is building it yourself and having what parts you want in it!

I have never heard of those sites either.

the blackbird, but your going to be paying way more for what your getting
whats wrong with what i recommended with my last post? its pretty much as good as your going to get for the price without building it yourself
