need help choosing a gaming PC

I'm looking for a good gaming PC, I have been looking at the alienware area 51 7500, and the velocity micro raptor dcx. If anyone could tell me which one is better or anything I would appreciate it.

Dont waste the extra $ do it yourself.

For that much $ you can build a SUPER p1mp gaming rig and buy like a 42 LCD to game on. I'd do that instead of buying Alienware. Can you build your own system?

Do you have a microcenter or similar establishment in your area?
They will help you build one and save you some money that way, that's what I did.

Build your own, by all means! You will learn so much, and will be less reliant on tech support for future problems. Consider it getting paid to learn.

Intel Core 2 Quadro (?)
Nice motherboard
2GB of DDR2 1067
8800GTX
really big hard drives
etc.

750 GB or 1000 GB(how do u call 1000 GB? since 1000MB = 1 GB so whats 1kGB=?)
