so i play games like almost any 1st person shooters and racing games. i use a 32 in 1080p hd tv for my monitor. currently im using my 8800gt 512Mb card and it plays fine on it, no lag and all setting on max in all my games. but i dont think it will keep up with newer games for the future, and i feel that it may be holding back my q6600? so my budget is no more than $200 for a new card. im not sure which would be the best, but im thinking maybe the 4890. with my current games being maxed out in the settings, would i see a difference in them if i were to get a new card since both will be playing them maxed out, and if so, please explain why. also, how does ati handle physics, are they incorporated somehow, as nvidia has it? thank you for all the help, and if i would need a new psu please let me know, its in my sig...happy holidays

In the 200 buck range you really only have 3 choices. The ATI 4890 or 5770 and the Nvidia GTX 260.

ATi Radeon HD 4890 FTW!

***EDIT***
I don't really think DX11 is a very "huge" factor as everyone makes it out to be. I still have a DX9 card and it's running fine, even on the newer games that support DX10.

Of course, DX11 is a nice feature to have, since most games coming out in '10 will have DirectX11 compatibilities.

Yeah the 4890 or the GTX 260 kicks the 5770 butt. But the 5770 price has come down alittle. Think they are going for around 165 bucks now.
