I'm not sure what kind of RAM my motherboard can handle. I ran Belarc Advisor and this is what it says:

Memory Modules

256 Megabytes Installed Memory

Slot 'DIMM1' has 255 MB
Slot 'DIMM2' is Empty
Slot 'DIMM3' is Empty

Processor a Main Circuit Board b
800 megahertz Intel Pentium III
32 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: IntelCorporation D815EEA AAA19243-206
Serial Number: ISEA03403542
Bus Clock: 133 megahertz
BIOS: Intel Corp. EA81510A.15A.0006.P04.0007070958 07/07/2000

I'm sorry if this has been covered before, but I figure the way to get the right answer is to just ask.

Thanks in advance

Well a PIII will support SDRAM, which will be either PC100 or PC133. Either will work, but you should go with the PC133, because that is probably what you have, backwards compatible, and cheaper.

So just go to a computer parts site and search for PC133 RAM.

Actually, scratch what I just said, I found a manual for the motherboard.

Your comoputer supports PC133 RAM with a max of 512MB. I am not sure, however, in what configuration the RAM will have to be, because you have 3 slots.

Can someone recommend a good store? I was going to buy the one I linked, but it's been unavailible for a while. I looked at New Egg but they didn't have PC133 256mb SDRAM. Thanks again guys :)

It is compatible with your system. But in my previous experience, whether or not it works will depend totally on what mood your computer is in, what you have been feeding it lately, and if it has gotten enough sleep. :D

Thanks for the help, I really really appreciate it! (I'm such a newbie :P )

Anytime. And we all were at one time. (except for me, I was just born with the knowledge :P )

um, i bet if you find a place with older computers (like a library or office, etc.) the RAM in them is going to be the kind youre looking for. ive got sooooo many 128 mb ram sticks with 100 and 133 frequencies lying around from old ibms and dells, im surprised people arent running in the streets trying to get rid of it.
