well the other day i opened my dell and blew the dust out of it. When i closed it back up, it wouldnt turn on. im typing this on my PSP. but do you guys know whats wrong? thanks...

well, the power led inside my computer is lit up, so powers being supplied. But when I press the power button, nothing happens.

ok take out the kettle lead out from the psu press the buttor button few times , then put kettle lead lead back in psu and try that

ok the main power source to the back of your computer, the one that pluhs into the top of your computer that goes str8 to the plug socket take that lead out of your computer then proceed as i said above

if you meant to basically unplug the power cable and press the power button then plug back in and press the button... yea i just tried that and nothing happend still

ah ok, right, look on your motherboard there will be a round battery like a watch battery but bigger remove that making sure u de static your self by touching metal. Leave it out for 10 mins then pop it back in

try swapping your ram around take one out and only leave one in and vice versa i had the same problem and found out one of my sticks of ram was faulty

well after i realized my computer wasnt turning on I messed with these 2 small black things (because the last time this happend i flipped them around then my computer turned back on somehow)
here they are one reads (:-35 AMP) and the other (:-39 AMP)

they would go on these 2 sets of 3 prongs, so there is more than one way to place them in...

Im not sure if this is the problem but its all i got...

Never mind guys, I fixed it someway. Really I just started taking all the parts of, inspecting them and cleaning them, and boom! my Dell turned on, but thanks a lot for the help.:)
