Need help finding a laptop

Hey!
I'm REALLY new here, and I just needed a suggestion.
Recently, I've decided to buy a laptop, mostly because my files took up more than half of the 250GB hard drive on my family's computer xD
But yeah, I really need help finding one. The requirements I have for it are:
Needs to be under $1000
Needs to be able to edit video/photos/music relatively quickly
Needs a big hard drive
I'd also really like something that could be used for gaming, and will last a while.

I could be wrong, but I don't know how well that CPU would be able to handle that sort of heavy lifting.

What my recommendation would be is check newegg.com/tigerdirect.com/compusa.com. Tigerdirect has great deals on refurbished laptops.

Have done alot of research in the sub 1000 laptop area, however do note that a laptop can not compare with a desktop in most areas, even the gtx260 mobile can not even score as high as a 9800gt. Wish you the best of luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

For the price point its not too terribly bad however the gpu and cpu are not that great, you can buy a asus g51vx for 730 with free shipping on tigerdirect with a 2.0ghz intel core 2 duo p7350, and a gtx260 with a backlit keyboard.

oh for some reason the link, it took me to one with a quad core the 2.0ghz version, but yeah your right that one is better.
