Hey guys.. i was just wondering if anyone knew any software that would convert a scanned image from a scanner to a 3d model.. i am trying to invent something :D and thought it would be cool and more convenient to have a 3d image/model of it before building it :) I'm not so big on software so i was wondering if anyone would be able to help. Just a program name and maybe a brief description would be much appreciated :)

I think to use maya u need to know how to use graphics tools. Its not that easy

Is ther any possibility for a plug-in for photoshop to make 3d images?
any ideas....

Maya Personal Learning Edition is free, but you can only use the plug-ins that come packaged with it (not very useful either.) And yes, it is not easy to use, especially if it's very complex. Blender is free and open-source.

Discussion growing big but no solution yet.
So anyone who is already experienced in 3d multimedia field please provide your suggestions.
possibly tips and tricks.
