so im in the market for a smaller laptop. something around the 13-15in range. this is going to mostly be used for school, internet, photoshop, etc. but i want to be able to play games on it from time to time, games like starcraft and probably diablo 3 if it ever comes out lol.

theres a couple im looking at right now but both have thier issues.

1st one im looking at is the Sony Vaio Z Series, the big thing is that the cost is about 1000$ too high lol. they run around 2000$.

2nd one i am sorta interested in is the Alienware M11x, the price is about right but an 11in screen just sounds too small to me.

can you guys recommend me some laptops and send me some links with the specs. Thanks in advance.

I would also look at Asus they are the best quality and most reliable laptops i have come across.

Acer nah you don't want Acer they are riddled with problems to go wrong and after the 12 month warranty is up on them of course. The laptop screen flickers in and out the laptop won't start 5 out of 10 times these are all issues i have had with Acer laptops that my friends have owned. My advice steer clear of Acer laptops.

GT 425m faster than gt 335m according to notebookcheck.net

But I don't know how much difference would ASUS N82JQ-B1 with Intel Core i7 740QM vs N43JF with core i5 460m make

if i get that laptop i wont get it from Tigerdirect. ill get it from Xoticpc so i can upgrade it to an i7 with more ram. either that or i might get the 15.6in version of that laptop that comes stock with an i7. i havent really decided yet. as of right now im leaning more towards the 14in upgraded bc of portability but it will cost about 300$ than the 15.6in
