Need help: first time upgrading a graphics card

Hello all :). I have this computer model: DX4860-UB33P. Slight difference: instead of an Intel 2000, I have a Radeon HD 7350 1GB, which I'm fairly sure is a 5450 refurbished.

I want to upgrade my card, but have no idea where to start. Found some great deal but not buying anything yet since I don't know if the new card will fit into my case (I think it's a mini tower model ).

I'm pondering between an EVGA GTX 660 Ti (found her cheap on the local ads site), a GeForce GTX 560 Ti, a Sapphire Toxic 5850 2GB or two GTX 470. Also, I know I'll have to change the PSU as well, so my budget will be around ~200$.

Suggestions please? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am no professional but here is what i think:

I currently run a Asus GTX 660 Ti, and it is a long card, if u say u have a Mini tower, i would say forget about the 660 Ti.

Since ur budget is only around 200 dollars, that leaves you with very minimum choices of video cards since normally a PSU around 600W cost 70 -80 dollars.

Here is my suggestion for the GPU, it can basically run any games, but not constant 60 FPS at highest graphics in game setting though.

If your budget for GPU is $200, I suggest going for 7850 2GB

If $200 is the overall budget, probably GTX650Ti with a budget PSU like Corsair CX500

By the way, if you can get GTX660 Ti in $200. Just get it.

The best way to find out if a card will fit in your case or not is to take the side panel off the case, get a tape measure, then measure in inches how much room you have between the rear of the case and the edge of the hard drive trays. Then when you look at the spec of the card you want to buy, see how long it is.

Does 200 include money for the PSU too? Don't bother with the 560 Ti or the 5850 or the 470 anymore, just get a 7850, that's the best card you can get for 200 bucks right now. It's faster than the 560 Ti, the 5850 and the 470.

Hello everyone, thanks for your quick replies :)

The other night I found these two on the local ad site:

ASUS Radeon EAH6850 DirectCU 1GB, completely new, $100.

CORSAIR PSU TX750 Plus Bronze, also new, $70.

Are these two a good choice? For a total of $170 I think it's pretty beneficial. According to this my PC is a mid-tower case, so should a 6850 (10.24" x 4.84") fit? I think I'll have to measure it myself.

Let me know if it's good, if not I shall consider one of your suggestions. Thank you! :)

You don't need a TX 750 to power a 6850. Spend less on the PSU and get a Corsair CX 500 or CX 600 and spend more on the GPU and get a 7850 if you can. If not, a 7770 would be good.
