Custom gaming rig for customer

Hey guys. I'm building a gaming rig for a customer at work. I already have my main selections (shopping cart can be viewed Here, but I just need memory (At least 2 GB) and a motherboard. It can be a little over $500 if necessary, but they'd like to keep it around that price. (No OS is necessary right now)

OR

If you can come up with a good $500 gaming machine (has to be Intel, needs 2GB of ram, 512MB gfx card [nVidia], and 250GB HDD; doesn't need OS) please help yourself.

Thanks!

Might want to pick up two of these and RAID them :)

As for the hard drives....The cheapest 250 GB you can get is about $50, may have to settle for a little less at first and then add another in a few months when they have a little money:)

This build will cost you $516 before shipping, that's about as cheap as you can go and get a decent gaming machine.

What do you think dude?

That's cheaper then my video card alone, haha!

Thanks Scout! I appreciate it!

I won't need the PSU though. We have Blacksteel 450 watts at work already.

It would be great if he could find a way to run an 8200 or an 8400. That was just a quick build I threw together sitting here bored at work. Good thinking though....they will be much better off with the 8 series processors.

Switch the case for an antec 300, is cheaper than the rosewill in the long run ( rosewill charges 24$ for shipping + 45 = 69$, while the antec cost 60$ with free shipping )

Then you have to buy two 120mm fans for the front, the 300 does not come with them. The 300 is a nice case for the price. Something to decide

I'm going to see what they want for a case - it's for his girlfriend so I'll see what she likes - I found a nice pink case on Newegg.
