Need help for ram !

HI I have 2 toshiba laptops. one is P105/S6134 and the other is A205/8??? I don't remember the number right now. the P105 has intel duo processor and the A205 has AMD 64x2 single core processor. I have problem with P105 to install Windows 7 on it. it did install sucessfully before, but I can't do restore on the computer, I thought I caught a bug, so I reformat the Hard drive and try to install windows 7 all over. but everytime after it loadup the windows file try to start windows it shut down. I was adviced to test the memory. so I download the memtest and test the ram, It has two stick ram in it, one 1gb pc4200 ddr2 ram. the other is 2 gb pc5300 ddr2 ram. the pc5300 2 gb failed the test. I took it out and put it into the Amd A205 laptop. it pass the ram test.
My questions. is there are different speed ram may be failed the memory test in different main board run at differnet speed?
it is safe to run in the AMD laptop that pass the memory test?
Is all the memory module should pass the test given the right bus speed specified?

As per my knowledge it's depend upon processor and motherboard ans sometimes it depends upon OS . Interesting question that I never think before read here .I appreciate your thought .

You are actually supposed to run the memtest 7 times, as there can be false results. I would guess and say that you didn't. I would re test them but run the test 7 times.
