Need Help: Ghosting Computers

Hi, I got a question some of you might be able to answer.
At work we are getting several new computers and I would like to ghost them all but here is the problem: "How do I ghost a computer without breaking the license agreement"?

Every computer must have it own Windows XP license according to the license agreement, how do I do that?

Thank you for your time,

Thierry.

Visit microsoft web site, they can help with that, to remain legal!

Yeah, that would have been smart if I had looked there in the first place.
Topic stays open do.
If anyone has nothing to do and want to help me out, please do:rolleyes:

Can't find anything on the offical microsoft website.

Does anyone know what product is used from microsoft that allows you to install several windows enviroments over network?

Thanks in advance,

Thierry.

Ya I too! did a search there one of these brainiacks will come on and help soon I need to know now thank you very much teehee  :D

your company needs to purcahse an MSDN subsrciption and/or a site license. The utility you want to keep it legit is called sysprep and is a free download from MS. With the sysprep utility you can set all the registration information (product key, site license, etc) so when you reimage a computer all that information is automatically put in.

If you own a license to win2k3 server you can use WDS (windows deployment server) which apparently according to a MS rep does not need sysprep to run it is built in. I have never tried it, just witnessed it kind of work at a training seminar I went to some months back for vista/exchange07/office07 roll out.

Thank you for all your reply's.
As soon as my company gets all the computers, I'll look if it possible with sysprep.
