Hi guys, im recently having problems with my computer.
It seems that everytime i boot my comp,it looks normal until about 20mins later, these tiny red, greeen, blue dots keep flashing on my screen.

It kept on flashing for a while and when it cover the whole screen, my screen began to shake.

Is it because of my video card that caused these problems or a virus that may had caused these problems because, i suspect that there's a virus in my comp, cuz whenever i wanted to open my norton antivirus program, it automatically close it.

And if u guys are kind enough to find me a the lastest anti-virus program, would u send it to me.:)

www.avast.com download the home edition, it's free, and works really nice :)

( you're sure your card isnt overheating tough? sounds a bit like artifacts to be honest )

I've downloaded the program but it seems that whenever i try to install the program,it keep closing. Is it the virus that close the window down?

Sorry for asking too much question. First time getting virus :o

I didnt feel much heat on my cpu..so i guess it isnt overheating?

hmm... weird.. I think there are some online virus scanners,.. but i have never used one, so i dont know wich one would be good or not.

Since it does not start until 20 minutes later sounds like a heat issue, try installing avast in safe mode and run it, but first uninstall norton

The antivir program shutting down is because you have malware that is preventing it from running. I've seen those before, quite a few times. You can try the Active Scan at www.pandasoftware.com, but quite frankly I'd be surprised if you could even access it. Your HOSTS file has probably been tampered with too.

What I would do is take it to a tech. Those kinds of problems are a real serious pain in the ass and it usually takes a professional or someone really computer savvy to get rid of them.

I've managed to view the activity log and it says that i have a W32.Pinfi virus, but it says that it had been repaired. Is it been tottaly repaired or is there still virus in my comp beacuse i can't still download avast.

And SirKenin, i cant acess that web. Thanks for the link thou =D

If you can't access that address, that means your HOSTS file has been modified, which is what I suspected. It's hard to say whether you still have malware on your computer, but I suspect you do. The easiest way to find out is to edit the HOSTS file in your C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc directory and take out all of the entries. All the security websites, probably including Microsoft, will be looped back to 127.0.0.1. Delete them all and save the HOSTS file. Reopen your browser and try to get to Panda. If no joy and the entries all come back, your malware is still active. Reboot into safe mode with networking, try again and delete any malware. Then download Avast and Prevx1 and do your scans.
