I have a dell L500r with a pentium 3 500mgh and 512mgb of ram, any help would be very apreciated as i dont know Linux very well.

Also, I'd personally recommend ubuntu for people with older computers and people who don't have a lot of experience in Linx. www.ubuntu.com
