Ok guys and girls heres my problem. I go to install windows onto my HD and it asks me to hit f6 to install any third pard raid and scsi drivers . I do that and it continues to install like it should then it comes to a screen that says something along the line of windows does no recognize your mass storage device and it gives me the option to either install the sata drivers or to continue to install windows. I hit "S" to install the drivers then it asks me to insert the manufacures disk so i put in the motherboard disk and nothing happens it just keeps going back to the screen that says insert disk anyways any help would be greatly appreciated.

is the motherboard disk a floppy disk, and are you putting it in a floppy that is correctly attached to your mobo.

and is the floppy disk activated,

Activated??? Do you mean connected and powered up. Which is what i said already.

cruzersoul are you sure your floppy is working. Pop in a disk (any old disk will do it doesnt have to be a boot disk), remove you xp cd. Then try to boot. Does your floppy drive make a noise as though its reading the disk? You may need to put floppy a bit higher in you boot order in BIOS in order to do this test.
