Need help locating part for friends laptop..

I'm fixing a friends laptop for them and need to locate the part that i'm pointing to/touching in the picture attached. The clip is broken and it's causing his screen to not close correctly. Last time I tried to order a specific part for a laptop, I ordered the wrong one. Twice. So if you all could help, that'd be awesome!

The laptop is an HP Pavillion dv6000.

Or even the name of the part would be sufficient. As long as I could search for it, I think I could find it. Thanks a lot!
 
It's probably not broken, just not installed correctly.

With that said, HP has a wonderful parts catalog called PartSurfer where you can get the part numbers for every piece of your laptop; just plug your specific model number in and search.

Unfortunately, HP also extorts an enormous amount, so I'd turn around and plug your part number into an eBay search for actual replacement parts...
 
I always order the part of ebay. type (the model of laptop) power panel. Usually there is a small white sticker on the back side with a part number. you can also put this in ebay and it will pull up your part.
 
Thank you guys! And yes, I was looking for a store to order the part, and specifically I was needing to know WHAT to search for because I didn't know the name of the piece. And I can see right where the clip is broken, so I'm pretty sure it's installed correctly, it's just a broken clip to fix. Thanks again everybody. I'll leave a post if I have any more trouble.
