I need help looking for a new custom laptop that I will be using for multitasking, games, and for school. Preferable a laptop with a good GPU and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800 or 4600. I won't mind spending around $3000+. I know I can probably build two computers with that much money but I'll be needing it when I get into an art school. I'm also open to anyone who can find it for cheaper b/c this laptop is probably going to take a huge chunk out of my bank account.

First off I would like to point out that "Alienware" "Voodoo pc" and "Sager" all get there Laptops from the same place, Clevo.
Now that we know sager has the same insides from the same people, I want to recomend a sager from www.pctorque.com, I bought mine (see sig) and I have been so happy with it.
Now on to the next thing.
The one I bought as you see it in my sig cost $2400 and runs very cool, no Dual core. the dual core runs much hotter and hits your $3000 with all options shipped.

The one I have I can keep it on my lap and not burn myself, and it is 7.5 pounds the AMD X2 is 12.5lb and get hotter, still under the P4 but hot non the less.
If you go with either laptop (which have the same screen), get the backpack they offer, it is really good to carry the backpack plus books, great for school (what I am using it for).
BTW, A Pentium M 2.0 is equivelent to a P4 3.6 or better, as it has better 3dmark scores then a p4 3.6ghz
