Need help - my mouse is alive.

7 mos ago I moved my computer about 3 feet from where it was to rearrange some furniture. Ever since then my mouse doesn't wait for me to click. All I have to do is just pass over something (fingers off the button) & it thinks I clicked. I am having files deleting themselves, move to somewhere else & having to hunt them down & put them back. Also when I try to highlight lines it picks up letters & moves them somethwhere else. We have tried 3 different new mice with cords(sp?) and finally Dell has sent us a wirlesss. We've also had the mother board replaced. Nothing works. Dell doesn't know what's wrong. We don't know what to do. Any ideas? Also, we've reformatted & reinstalled programs twice. Absolutely nothing changed when we moved the computer except a new monitor.

Help!

Oh yes, tried several mouse pads too.

So the mice with cords have the same problem as the wireless mice, or just the wireless mice do it? If it's just the wireless mice it's probably something in your house interfering with them.

sounds like a virus...but if you've formatted thent hat can't be it...if your mouse is plugged intot he PS/2 port try a USB port...if its in a USB try a different USB port or the PS/2 port
