need help on new comp

hey, i ll get a new comp for christmas, and i made this lil combination, plz tell me if iz good or not, any suggestions would be GREAT!;)

MB: Asus A8N-SLI Premium
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 939 pin 90nm
CPU cooling: Thermaltake SilentBoost K8
Ram: Kingsoft DDR400 1G ram
Case: i need help
Power supply: i need help
HD: seagate sata 200GB
graphix: Geforce 6600GT 128mb pci-e
sound: Sound Blaster Live Audigy 2 ZS
Floppy: regular floppy
CD/DVD drive: old one
 
That's not a bad setup, I'm assuming your gaming. With the case, it should be based a lot on personal preference, so post a case that ou think looks nice and would like to have. As for the power supply, look at the ratings on the +12v rail, try to go above 20 amps minimum, and if you're above 30 amps that should be good. Looking at the ratings and getting the PSU froma respectable company are also things to look at. Post any PSUs you've been looking at.
 
thks guyz, ill post anything i wanna change:P.. this forum is really cool, i posted on the other forum and took me 3 weekz to get an answer...muhahahah, i hope i can b a gold member:P
 
1. whats the budget and intention of the machine?
2. id pick a different motherboard, either step up for the ASUS a8n32sli-dlx or grab a DFI lanparty ut nf4 ultra-d
3. the CPU cooler is crap... had one back in the day when i was bored and testing out random coolers. if you're getting a Venice/sandiego/Winchester class chip you might not need anything other than stock but if you do: go big or go home... the only thing the SilentBoost delivers on is low noise... not worth the drop in cooling performance... some coolers to consider are
- Arctic Cooling freezer64 and freezer64 pro
- Thermaltake Big Typhoon
- Thermalright xp90 and xp90c

1. the point of the machine is to have high performance, games etc | budget can b under 2k
2. ill change the mother board to the deluxe version

2. The deluxe version of what? If you mean the deluxe version of whats already there, its gonna be even worse (this is why there are bonus points for being specific ;))
