Need Help On New Gaming Build.

Hi, my buddy asked me to help him pick out the parts for his pc he wants me to build. He says he'd like games to run on about medium and be able to play dayz and "stuff." lol I started out with this GPU: http://bit.ly/1gIwxGB Then I looked at CPU and got this: http://bit.ly/1mfpYYA Then i was thinking about an AMD counterpart and got this: http://bit.ly/1aPqIxp
Which one would be better for gaming? Also, what Mobo and PSU would you guys recommend? I'm not terribly worried about modular psu's. I'm fine with non modular and i really like semi-modular. he gave me an approximate budget of $500 for just the machine itself. What do you guys think?

The intel processor is only a dual core, the AMD is a six core processor. The amd is better by a little bit.

Get the cx500m power supply and a decent gigabyte motherboard.

Nevermind on the PSU I mentioned. The cx500m is basically $20 right now!
