hi all. i am wanting to take my graphics card cooler off. its an GTX 260 by BFG. i have attempted but it seems pretty complicated compared to other gpu's i have done in the past. can someone please explain to me how to do this, or provide a link to a walk through. it just seems that no matter what, it doesnt want to come off and i dont want to apply too much pressure for fear of breaking solder joints. i need to clean it out and would like to reapply thermal past. any help is greatly appreciated

I'm not sure if it's the same as the 260, but with my 275 and my 285 it was a bunch of screws on the bottom of the PCB which were gold and black and 2 screws on the plate where your output connections are. You might have to pull the cooler towards the back of the card to get it off properly. If it doesn't come off easily don't use to much force, double check to see if you missed any screw, some are tiny and can be easily missed. Good luck!
