Hey guys I have a question regarding a battery backup powersource. I hope this is in the right section I need help in. Right now I dont want to spend TOO much money, but I am looking at the Ultra ULT33046;Watts:1200 Watt, Volt Amps: 2000 VA, Surge Energy: 2100 Joules...

What I need powered is a High output power source at this rating:
1206 H2 MAX
120V
60HZ 5.4A

Can anyone steer me in the right dirrection? Also is there any units that run for hours, and when I mean hours I mean 12 hours +

Thank you.

depends.... if your on a laptop running a cable modem and a bubble jet printer, then you'll be fine for 12+ hours, but if your on a complete gaming machine and a 24" CRT monitor then its not going to last too long...

so its probably not going to last very long at all for what I am planning to use it for.

what do you need to pwer if i may ask? ( how much Watt, and what voltage ? )
You could have a look into Lead-gel batteries, and a 12v to 115V -60Hz power transformator. ;)

watts i dont know...perhaps the 1206? it doesnt say on the unit.

The ultra unit, has an option of adding an external battery, i think i may do this as well...

you are probably going to laugh, but i have a HUGE fish aquarium with automatic timers and dosers. anyways, if a power outage goes out, it resets everything, which takes an hour or two to reset, and monitoring for weeks, by this time all your fish are dead. so i thought about gettin a battery back up source.

it should hold that fairly well... a 24" CRT uses about 180-220watts i think?
