Need help or suggestions Asus pc 1005HAG Netbook

Kids bought for me. I can find the memory with one slot and it has 1 gig. I will add a two gig instead. Heres the problem. it has XP Home on it. I want to install a legit copy of 32 bit XP Pro which i already have. I will be dam if i can find it. It leads a trail to XP drivers but i don't know if it will support the XP Pro. Im guessing it will work but hate to run with a maybe.

any thoughts or suggestions here. i tried calling but seems to be closed weekends. I do have a recovery disc for the home edition but hate spending all the time for a wipe on a maybe as mentioned.

XP Home, and XP Pro use the same drivers, but XP won't have some of the proprietary Laptop Drivers for your brand.
 
The problem im having is i cannot network these computers for some reason. I have 4 others (3 with XP Pro and mine with Win 7 Pro 64bit). I have had no luck.) It can't or won't share a printer or access win 7 on the network at all. then again i feel that it would be a little safer. The Pro ver's seem to have a little more security in them. Never had home edition before.

Home and Pro have the same security. Make sure the you have simple file sharing enabled, and use the same Work group name.

All of them share fine with XP Pro and the netbook. Not 7 though.
XP can access win 7 though. Win 7 can access XP pro fine, yes Im on the same work group with all. Just saying XP and 7 work both ways. not the home with 7.

I will check the simple file sharing just the same.
