NEED Help Overclocking x800xl

I want to overclock my x800xl so i downloaded atitool and i really dont know how to use it. but i tried it out, i pushed the core from 400mhz (i think) to about 410 then scanned for artifacts. then i mushed the memory from 490mhz to 500mhz and scanned for artifacts. and everything was fine. including my temperature. then i pushed core to 425 set it and my screen went black and i had to restart

X800XL Overclocking

If you wanna get better clock speeds on your x800xl you gotta mod your card. I bought an Artic Silencer 5(http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.php?idx=61) for my chip. Its 30$ and it definately gets your card cool.Whether your gonna buy it or not you should replace the thermal pads with artic silver 5(http://www.arcticsilver.com/) thermal paste. It'll definately allow you to increase the clock speeds. I put both of these on my x800xl and got my core at 450Mhz and my memory settings to 575Mhz using the ATI Tool.

Even with none of that you should be able to push your memory higher than 500Mhz.
