Need help picking a Laptop.

I dont know much when it comes to computer specs. From my understanding an i7 processor is top of the line, and certain i5's are still pretty fast as well. Are i3s outdated or are they still quick? I am looking at one for my girlfriend so it wont be for gaming. Just streaming music while web browsing. But I dont want it to be slow.

i3 is perfectly fine if you just streaming music and web browsing. For those application, you need fast internet instead.

Don't get AMD E series, they are slow.

What is your budget?
 
I dont really want to spend more than 350.00 if possible. Any specific recommendations or at least a brand? I think my internet is pretty decent, so that shouldnt be a problem.
 
I would go for the asus because intel hd4000 is not bad graphics and the i3 offers a nice amount of performance. The one with the apu has a radeon from the 8400 series which I doubt would be any better than hd4000 paired with an ivy bridge i3.

Between the 2 toshiba's why whould anyone want the first one over the second? They seem identical, including price, except the second one has a faster processor speed (2.4 vs 2.0) and 6 GB memory vs 4 GB memory. Am I missing something here, or is that clearly a no-brainer?

This seems pretty good, its an i3. I would be wiling to spend the extra 30 if you guys think its worth it.
