hey guys, i have around 600-650 bucks to spend, i need a good powerful laptop that can run games, but still be able to stream/load videos. I want to play games off of steam, and games like runescape and minecraft smoothly! thanks

No very powerful laptop for 650, nothing that will play battlefield on max, probbalbly med with 30 fps. As for minecraft, I can play that with fancy and smooth lighting on a 500 dollar amd a6 quad laptop. Here is a 640 dollar laptop with an i5 and nvidia 520M and 6 gb of ram and 640 GB HDD by acer. There were some more with a 520M and 750 gb hdd but had an i3. The 520M can play minecraft fancy with smooth lighting, runescape on high, and even mw2 with a decent fps on med. Here it is: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Acer+-+Aspire+AS5750G-2436G64Mnkk+15.6%22+LED+Notebook+-+Intel+Core+i5+i5-2430M+2.40+GHz+-+Black/3823013.p?id=1218434742815&skuId=3823013&st=Acer%20Aspire%20AS5750G&cp=1&lp=1
You are welcome!

Can you stretch your budget? If you can, here is a really good lappy.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834200427

Or for a little less:

What do you think?

Newegg XPS is nice, a little better than the Acer I chose, but it is $100 over budget and IT'S REFURBISHED! Plus, it has the same gpu (graphics proccesing unit) as the acer.

The Amazon XPS, I cannot stress this enough, is a 5 year old laptop with only 2 GB of RAM and a smaller HDD (500 GB) the the acer or newegg xps. I have a 2 year old $350 laptop better than that. My condolences to you if you buy that. (and no, if you are wondering, it does not have better graphics, in fact it's worse!) DO NOT BUY THIS! Slipx, Do your research!

Thank you for posting the links one the cheap laptops.

Just a quick question, is MSI gaming laptops fine? Just asking, cause I saw MSI cheaper than any other laptops but have the same specs with the gaming laptops.

MSI is a good brand, but asus makes netbooks to awesome gaming laptops, MSI is the same way. What model do you have in mind? Oh, and did you seiressly say thanks to slipx!?His amazon choice is terrible and the newegg laptop is $100 overbudget and refurbished! Read my post about it. The acer I chose for you is a good gamer for only 650, did you read my post about it?

Just appreciating the content of the link though, anyway im not buy those stuff from amazon.

i prefer MSI 683, this is for gaming purposes. gonna use it for COD and skyrim. i thinks it would be fine, with all the specs given. and with your tip, it convinced me.

thanks!
