Need Help Please. My Computer shuts off...

My computer shuts off not long after i turn it on, but the funny thing is the green light stays on, like its on, but there is no noise coming from the Pc.

Im not sure why this is. Ive tryed cleaning out the fans, and stuff.

Please help.

To Clarify, What green light?

The Green light on your motherboard?

Monitor?

It could be your Power Supply, Do you have a spare one you can test with?

Can you please post the Specs of your Computer?

(Motherboard, Powersupply, CPU, Ram, Operating system)

Cleaning out the fans wont do too much, if you just want to make sure,

Do you have a Compressor?

If so, remove RAM and Blow out ALL the dust from the motherboard.
 
sounds like a power supply problem to me too. try swaping it with another one. you dont physicly have to take the PSU out, just unplug everything, and plug it into a different PSU. just make sure you remember where all the wires go!
 
If you want to see if it's a power supply problem, jump pins 14 and 15 on the ATX connector using a paperclip. If it turns off shortly after it comes on, then you have a PSU issue, if not, then most likely it's a problem with the motherboard or other device.
