NEED help quick

ok i have an older version of mitchell on demand on an old windows 98 SE pc
i need to transfer it over to my new laptop which is on vista how would i do this
i no longer have the install disks keys or anything so the only way would be direct transfer but im not sure if it would work
in the program file it has a setup.exe file would that be all i need or would that still ask for my key?

if so would i be able to jsut transfer the entire folder via usb flash drive? and the program still work?

i did this with everest ultimate and it worked but it didnt work for some other programs this is why im asking

thanks in advance tight on money dont want to buy a flashdrive if i wont even be able to use it

there is no guarentee it will work there may be registry setting on the old machine, there may be dll's not in the programs directory. Sure you could use regmon and filemon to track down all the stuff the program is asking for,that would improve your chance, but its not easy to do.

The setup in the folder may work, it may not
sorry to be vague but there is no way of knowing unless you try


flashdrives are a cheap as dirt these days, heck you get them free all the time.
