OK well im ordering my cpu tonight(amd 64 3500+) and was wondering...

should i go with 3700+ instead..I was thinking about this because the only main difference is 3500+ is 512 cache and 3700+ is 1mb cache

and the 3500+ cost is....220 (USD)...not counting shipping

and the 3700+ is .......250 (USD)....not counting shipping

do you guys think another 512kb of cache is worth the extra 30 bucks??

thanks for looking...

u know what go with the 3700 since it is only $30 more and ull get more preformanceso yeah

how Is it more performance??
as in whats the difference??

i mean it is only $30 more so go with that one
but u could get the 3500 and then over clock it and it will run like the 3700 so yeah

ok well ill just go with the 3700+ because I was going to pay about 230ishh for the 3500 and this 3700 i found is about 10 bucks more than what i was going to pay...

oh btw..could you help me choose a OS..
I want windows xp but theres a few out there with different prices so...

thanks..

wow 150 bucks..isnt that a little over priced?...ill post a thread in Os section...

thanks for your help...

The are already running a the same speed, you can overclock the cache.

But the price performance delta is amount equal, so you are getting what you pay for, that is for a little extra cash you're getting a little extra performance, is it worth it? in my mind no, but its only $30

go with the 3700+ and o/c it to 4000+ speeds. (200mhz increase)
buy it from newegg, theyre the same proc. tigerdirect always has slightly higher prices than newegg, but sometimes offers a wider variety.

however... dual core is a nice thought.
