Need help regarding performance..

I have GTX 275 in Sli (two of em) .. Is HD 5870 faster? or is 5870 faster than GTX 295? considering that my cards are 1-5% faster than 295 or something. How much difference would it be between my sli and 5870?..

I just wonder becouse i'm going to buy GTX 480, and becouse it's faster than 5870 by everything from 5 to 20 percent i'm not sure etc..

480 is said to be 5-15% faster than 5870 and it can still be overclocked.. so what do you guys think? (or what about a overclocked version of 480 with more RAM?)
 
are you disappointed with the performance of 2 gtx 275's? That still seems like overkill for most of the modern games to me. Just looking at your sig and the oc on your sli, you have my 4850 beat my a considerable amount on each gpu (unless i am reading that wrong and you combine them to get the total clocks).

No no, i want something new in my case..The DX11 and especially Nvidia.

Something more powerful.. new.. must..have :P

(the clocks in my sign is each cards clocks and not the total)
 
Well since you want to use Nvidia anyway, just wait until the fermi cards come out.

Haha yeah I know the feeling. My 4850 maxes all of the games that I have in 1920x1080 but I still want a 5970.

Yea.. I get all hyped up and shaky when i buy new parts.. but now, there hasn't been anything special that i've needed to buy lately.. So it's fermi that's next ! :D .. i dont see any need to buy a new mobo and i7 yet.. soon i'll do, but not yet..
 
Just wondering, the prices on the new nvidia cards will be really expensive why you want to get it so much? Just use your cards in sli for now and wait for the new cards price to drop a bit. You should be able to play everything maxed out with no problems at all. :)

I'm spoiled.. Money is not a problem.. I have problems controlling how much i spend anyways..
 
Well a GTX 295 is two GTX 275's correct? The 5870 beats the 295, so i don't see how 2x 275's will be an improvement.

All i see is higher power consumption.

The yield i'll get for my used GTX 275 is so low in Norway because so few ppl buy used stuff that i'll rather toss it.. Or, i can find a stupid kid and sell it for a higher price..
