Along with the Google roolbar and Google desktop you also disable items for video and sound. Things like the CTsysvol are volume control panel for a Creative sound card as one example. The ctfmon would also be part of the Creative application. The ccApp item is most like a part of that as well.

The atiptaxx item is for an ATI video card by the looks since you haven't provided any general system information that would be a help here in IDing different items. The Adobe Updater is for just that the Adobe Reader. Ipoint is likely for an MS optical mouse being the Intellipoint item there. If you are not using the MS messanger I wouldn't worry about the msnmsgr there.

The quick method for seeing what each is and how it effects things is to re-enable one or two items at a time. That's the advantage of the msconfig utility is that you can always recheck or uncheck something you either unchecked to disable or simply uncheck an item to see it disabled at any time even you end up having to boot up in safe mode if you make a goof.

Disable all the Google Products, otherwise, i can't see anything else, that you want to disable....

The main problem was simply disabling the necessary items along with a few non essentials. If this had been in the services tabs the only way you could have been able to boot up would have been in safe mode since most items are essential MS background items. Some are for things like antivirus, antispyware tools, firewalls, video and sound cards, etc. from 3rd party sources however.
