need help.. swapping gear to new case

Im in a little trouble. I brought a new case today, an Aerocool VX-E PRO. My computer was running fine prior to swapping gear but now that I have everything in my new case I cant get it to power up. The light on my motherboard lights up indicating that I have power and when I push the power button on the case the light comes on for a fraction of a second andsometimes a fan win spin once but then its asif i didnt push the button at all. Can anyone suggest anything that could be the problem or have I just brought a dud case.

That sounds like something might have been installed incorrectly, or knocked out of place. Are you sure that nothing is loose? Maybe is your RAM not in there correctly? I'm not very good at diagnosing what, but my guess would be that some of your hardware is installed incorrectly or is broken.

as far as I can tell the board was put in properly and no hardware, ram ect, was touched. I put the hardware backinto my old case and it booted up fine so I am assuming that the case must be the problem, maybe a faulty switch.

did your new case come with a PSU? if so it could be faulty.
 
nope nothing else was new. I took everything out of my old case and stuck it in the new one. and as I said before since I put all the gear back into the old case its working fine
