Hello,
on my computer everytime i try to play a video the words and picture do not match. The words and sounds are usually 1 minute ahead. My pc is a custom with an intel pentium 4 3.2ghz cpu 1gb memory 200 gb hard drive and a 256 mb video card the sound card on my mother board is an realtek hd sound card
Thanks for the help

It's nice to know the make of the sound card but that's not the problem being seen there. Some other information is needed with the make and model video card at the top of the list. Something is causing a serious video lag there. Another question concerns the type of video and player used.

well i have an asrock 775dual- vsta mother board with an realtek alc888 7.1 channel audio codec with high definition audio and the video card is radeon 9600 pro 256mb. Most videos i try to play it gives me this problem such as avi mpg they all have similar problems also i used different players such as microsoft media player and real media player same problem

Through all the sharewares and freewares like SuperDVD Player and others the most reliable software found I use for viewing both dvd and vcd projects along with a large variety of file types is Cyberlink's PowerDVD. I even use that for screen shots with some pc games where other capture programs fail. One vendor has the newest version for $10 off seen at http://www.winferno-software.com/Categories/Multimedia/CyberLink-PowerDVD7-Standard/?source=003_cyberlink&TID=003&OVRAW=powerdvd&OVKEY=power%20dvd&OVMTC=standard

The version #6 used here is now even seen for far less at http://www.softwareoutlet.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=6774

but now i tried also to burn a movie with 3 different programs nero imtoo and easy avi to dvd burner all which come up with the same problem the video lags and doesnt match the words any ideas
thanks

What make and model burner are you using there? It could be the lens in the drive itself needing cleaning or simply flaky blank media you are using! I've had vcd projects see that variations at times from bad disks.

yes the initial problem was with the movies on the hard drive and now when i burn any movies the problem is now played on a dvd player which the words dont match the video
