I tried to update my Bios on another computer and ended up messing it up It is now on Boot Block everytime i start up I had the company send me the Bios but i dont know how to install it onto the computer any help would be greatly appreciated. Please Email me at [email protected]

Not to hard, thay make a little tool to do but I,ve never used one. You just pop the old one out and put the new one in the same direction by the markings on the chip. Just make sure you dont bend any of the pins in or out when you push it in.

^ yup usually the BIOS chip is a 32PINSMT chip that sits in a 32PINSMT socket. You could go on ebay and buy a chip extractor. or you could DIY a paper clip or hair clip. Also as said above make sure you put the chip in the right way!

EDIT: Another thing, when putting the chip in don`t push it in all the way, push it in enough so it sits flush with the socket. This is to make sure there is good connectivity between the chip and the socket.

I dont have the chip itself I have a file that the bios is I have to put it on a floppy and start it when the computer starts up.

How would i find out my Bios version if i cant get it from the boot screen does anyone know where i can download the bios from?

Using Boot Block, put the bios they sent you on a floppy and put in your floppy drive, Boot Block should look for the floppy drive when the computer boots
