Need help with a name of software

i was wondering is there any software to make my friends computer link to the internet through mine if he is on the same network. i used one before about 3 years ago for a prank just cant remember the name. I remember that i could see all the websites he visited and some passwords.

if you know for both windows and mac that would be ace.
