ya i just got a new computer with everything i needed besides the graphics card(i bought a 9800gt a few weeks ago in preperation)

The exact computer i bought is right here http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+Pavilion+Desktop+/+AMD+Phenom%26%23153%3B+II+Memory+/+1TB+Hard+Drive/9963692.p?skuId=9963692&id=1218202474716
you can click on specifications for the specs.

and the exact 3d card i got is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130380

After a day i came to realize when planning to install that the Power supply in my new rig is only 250 watts, and my 3dcard requires"Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply.(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 26 Amps.)" (tho it says on the box 18amps)

so i guess i have to replace my power supply and need advice whats compatible with my setup and how hard itll be to install (never installed a new psu need to know if i should even attempt)

i was thinking of buying this power supply (as im on a budget now after buying all this hehe), would it work with my system/card?! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817338009&cm_re=power_supply_400w-_-17-338-009-_-Product

and if not can someone recommend a psu that would work around the same price

Thanks all for any help!

The link for your PC you bought is dead.

Good choice on the card though.

As for the power supply, that one is linked to is absolute garbage. Would probably only last about 3 months, and thats if the 8800gt wouldn't blow it up and take out the motherboard with it first. Besides, that PSU only have 20 amps on the 12v rail too which is not enough.

You'll have to dish out $50 up front, but the $20 mail in rebate takes it down to $30 atleast-
